Heather
Erickson, this year’s Hospitality Coordinator. (That means she's the one who sets up all the chairs and tables for our meetings, organizes the fabulous door prizes we all enjoy, puts together special gifts for moms with new babies and those of us celebrating birthdays and anniversaries, organizes our breakfast spread and decorates our space. It's a lot of work - but she's definitely up to the task! We're praying you all will feel welcomed, comfortable and well-fed at our meetings. If that's true, please be sure to thank Heather for all her hard work!)
So, here's a little info on Heather, to get to know her a little bit better...Heather and her family moved to Sheridan in January of 2012. She and her husband, Josh, have 4 kiddos: Tristan 6, Treven 3, Lincoln 2, and Eliana 6 months. She is a warm and welcoming woman with a heart brimming with passion for Jesus. Her favorite thing about MOPS is that it sets up space for her to use her gift of encouragement. She is excited to serve you all this year, get to know you all, and to give away a TON of great door prizes!
Heather’s favorite
Bible verse is Romans 12:11 “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual
fervor, serving the Lord.” This is her favorite because when you are truly
walking with Jesus and living a Spirit-led life, you naturally become zealous
for Him. Out of that space, you get to live a really exciting life. God will
use each one of us right where we’re at, whether that be Walmart or the park,
and there we get to be a part of His plan and witness divine intervention. She
says, “Contrary to what some think, living for Jesus is super exciting and way
better than not!”
Heather’s favorite
time of day is morning because all the kids are really happy and excited to see
her. Her favorite dessert is cheesecake, and she “HATES” being messy!
Her favorite mommy
thing is the ability to teach her kids what it means to authentically love
Jesus. She loves to see them witness to their friends, teachers and to herself.
She loves to remember how God has used her children to teach her a lot of
lessons. She says, “When I get to the heart of walking with Jesus and truly
worshiping Him… I realize the importance of raising children that love Jesus
also. It just bring joy to my heart when we can sing and dance to worship music
together.”
Thank you, Heather,
for all the work you've put into making our MOPS meetings welcoming and full of
great free stuff! Thank you, also, for your tender heart toward mothers and
your desire to love and encourage us all with your joy, enthusiasm and love.
