Introducing...

Brandy Patceg, this year’s Discussion Group Leader. (That means she is in charge of wrangling all you Table Moms & Mentors and writes all the questions we discuss around our tables after we’ve heard a speaker. She also was the brains behind our wonderfully successful messy-yarn-get-to-know-you activity at the last meeting. Hooray for pink yarn!)

Here are some fun facts about Brandy, to let you get to know her a little bit better.

Brandy and her family have lived in Sheridan since February of this year, however, she was born here and lived here until 1996.

Her family members include: Husband Andy, Son Luke 5, Daughter Evie 4, Son Josh 21 months, and Baby Number 4 due at the end of February.

Brandy’s favorite Bible verse is John 14:6 - Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. She likes it so much because it is so black and white. She appreciates that there is no room for question.

Brandy’s favorite time of the day is Nap Time, of course! J

She said the thing she’s most looking forward to at this year’s MOPS events is learning how to do new things, like canning and making her own cleaners, etc.

Brandy’s favorite dessert is Crème Brulee. She says she doesn’t get it very often (“which is probably a good thing”). But, I’m thinking she might just get to have it soon… anyone own a mini blowtorch to scorch sugar? (And, I just found out that the LivingRoom offers super crème brulee!)

Brandy says she doesn’t like to be messy in general, but she will generally grin and bear it with grace.

Regarding her favorite thing about being a mom, she says, “Being a mom means so many different roles that must be filled and although sometimes I get tired and admittedly irritated with some aspects of it, when I see my kids doing something that shows the sweetness in their hearts it makes it ALL worth it.”

Thank you, Brandy, for your patience with all of us during our steering meetings. Your steadfast presence is a comfort. And, your willingness to step out and try new things is inspirational. You have a beautiful spirit and a wonderfully tender heart toward mothering. We are looking forward to getting to know you even better this year!
